The SACIDS Africa Centre of Excellence for Infectious Diseases of Human and Animals in Eastern and Southern Africa will convene a regional Eco-Health Workshop from 16-18 August, 2017 in Arusha, Tanzania.

This trans-disciplinary workshop aims to bringing together Eco-Health practitioners from Eastern and Southern Africa, medical, veterinary and wildlife health officials and representatives of communities in ecosystem as a Community of Practice in order to share experiences and best practices and to explore options for developing a regional (multi-country) Eco-Health programme for studying the vulnerability and/or resilience of rural communities that interact with animals (whether domesticated or wild),in the context of either climate change or commercial/industrial/agricultural enterprises or settlement.
