The Tanzania Veterinary Association is pleased to announce that the 31st Tanzania Veterinary  Association Scientific Conference will be held at the Arusha International Conference Centre  (AICC) from the 3rd to 5th December 2013.
 
The Theme for the Conference is: “ENHANCING IMPROVED ANIMAL PRODUCTIVITY THROUGH QUALITY DISEASE SURVEILLANCE AND RESPONSE SYSTEMS”
 
Sub-Themes are:
i. Neglected Endemic Diseases and their influence on livelihoods of the resourcepoor
ii. The Animal Health Delivery System and its influence on Disease Surveillance and 
Control in Tanzania
iii. The value of One Health Approaches in infectious disease detection and control
iv. Impact of Diseases on Regional and International trade
 
The Tanzania Veterinary Association invites those who wish to present papers during the Conference to submit Abstracts not exceeding 250 words in line with the above Theme and sub-themes. The deadline for submission of Abstracts shall be 30th September 2013 whereas for full papers shall be 4th November 2013. Kindly adhere to the deadlines in order to enable the TVA Secretariat to prepare relevant documents ahead of time. Abstracts and full papers should be sent to the Chairman of the Scientific Committee: Attention Prof. Esron Karimuribo (ekarimu@yahoo.co.uk) and copied to Dr Henry Budodi Magwisha (h.magwisha@tvla-tz.org)
 
Two types of presentations at the Conference are invited:
(a) Oral presentation: Papers should NOT exceed 15 pages typed in MS Word, double spaced using 12 pt font size of Times New Roman.
(b) Poster presentation should be 1.5m high and 1.2m wide.
In case of Powerpoint slides and/or OHP transparencies, the font should NOT be less than 26
