ANNOUNCEMENT AND CALL FOR ABSTRACTS FOR THE JOINT 1ST TANZANIA ONE HEALTH/37TH TVA CONFERENCE TO BE HELD AT THE ARUSHA INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE CENTRE (AICC) FROM 27TH TO 29TH NOVEMBER 2019 

The Tanzania Veterinary Association (TVA) in collaboration with One Health Coordination Desk (OHCD) under the Prime Minister’s Office is pleased to inform you that the joint conference will be held at AICC in Arusha, Tanzania from 27th to 29th November 2019. 

The Theme of the Conference is: “One Health for better life of animals, human and our Environment” Sub-Themes are: 

1. Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) 

2. Biosafety and Biosecurity System (BSS) 

3. Status and capacity on zoonotic diseases control 

4. Real time reporting as a tool for effective surveillance 

5. Animal welfare, governance and policy issues 

Please, kindly note that abstract submission and registration for the conference is now open. You are warmly invited to submit an Abstract and present a paper on your research or case study findings of interest. The Abstract should not exceed 250 words comprising: a brief title, names of authors and their affiliation, brief background, methodology, key findings, discussion and conclusion/recommendations, followed by four to five keywords. 

The deadline for submission of Abstracts shall be 30th October 2019 whereas deadline for full papers is 15st November 2019. Kindly adhere to the deadlines in order to enable the Secretariat to prepare and print the Book of Abstracts and Time table in time.
