SACIDS Team participated at the Annual Agricultural (Nane Nane) exhibitions from 01– 08 August, 2020

SACIDS participated in the Annual Agricultural Exhibition famously known as Nane Nane, in two locations Simiyu (Nationally) and Morogoro (Eastern Zone). The Exhibitions in Nyakabindi Grounds in Simiyu region was officially opened by Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania Hon. Samia Suluhu whereas Tanzanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Palamagamba Kabudi officially opened in Morogoro.

The 27th Agricultural Exhibitions themed ‘Agricultural, Livestock and Fisheries Development, choose best leaders in 2020’ took place from 1–8 August, 2020 in other zones such as Southern Highlands zone-Mbeya, Northern zone-Arusha, Eastern zone-Morogoro, Lake zone-Mwanza, Western Tabora, Southern zone-Lindi and Central zone-Dodoma.

During the Fair, SACIDS Foundation showcased its work on One Health Research and training, capacity building, smart Partnership, as well as exhibited its scientific work in promoting One Heath security including application of AfyaData to enhance early detection, timely reporting and prompt response of health events in human and animal populations.

Various guest who visited SACIDS Foundation booth commended the Foundations’s activities in disease surveillance and capacity building to African Scientists. AfyaData tool raised interest from various guests including Africa Seed Health Organization for seed data collection and The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) for plant disease surveillance.
