On behalf of ourselves and our main sponsors the Poliomyelitis Research Foundation, we are pleased to invite you to come to

Virology Africa 2020.

 VENUE AND DATES:

The conference will run from the evening of Monday 10th – Friday 14th February 2020. The conference venue is the Radisson Blu Hotel, which has a magnificent view of the ocean, and is close to Cape Town’s famous Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

IMPORTANT DATES

Abstract submission and registration open – 31 August 2019

Early Bird Registration closes – 15 November 2019

Abstract Submissions deadline – 15 November 2019

The ACADEMIC PROGRAMME will include plenary-type presentations from internationally recognised speakers. The conference will also include special sessions dedicated to One Health and to Vaccinology, in order to enhance networking in these areas in Africa.

We wish to emphasise that this is intended as a general virology conference – which means we will welcome plant, human, animal and bacterial virology contributions. The venue will allow for parallel workshops of oral presentations. There will also be poster sessions. Senior students will be encouraged to present their research.

We have some sponsorship for students to attend the meeting from the PRF, and details will be announced later in the year.

The website is www.virologyafrica2020.com . All announcements will be posted here.

If you are prepared to fund an internationally recognised scientist to speak at the conference or if you wish to organise a specialist workshop as part of the conference, please contact
