Mpoki Mwabukusi

BSc (Information Technology) – Mpoki Mwabukusi is an Assistant ICT Specialist at Southern African Centre for Infectious Disease Surveillance (SACIDS).

He has been involved in a number of projects, particularly in providing ICT programming and support to the application of mobile technologies in disease surveillance in humans and animals.

Mpoki will also be involved in testing new and existing applications of ICT among pastoral communities to assess their utilities in public health and local development as part of MSc programme under the IDRC fund.

Before joining SACIDS, Mpoki worked as an IT support at Sihebs Technologies (ICT service provider Company) in Dar es Salaam for a one year. Whilst at Sihebs, he provided support to customers and participated in a number of projects such as Supplying and Installation of Local Area Network at Mtwara Region office, organized and do a set up for a company show case during an ICT summit in March, 2010 which held in Dar es Salaam.
